Once you do away with God, can you do things more easily?

God is just a thought created by humans. Even if God exists, you cannot know how God is. Then why should religious and moral interpretations of life be correct? I can steal from old people, a woman, or kill somebody as long as I don't get caught by society. Humans agree on a particular definition of God. But that definition is far from being demonstrated. It is believed to be true by as many imbeciles as preachers and media celebreties can convince. I feel that eliminating God was a huge step in making my life better. Now I don't have to bow down to any authority. I feel like a burden has been removed from my shoulders. Can the death of God actually be a relief? Everybody I know told me I would feel bad, if I stopped believing in God. It's quite the opposite instead. Has anyone felt the same?
