Is there a better way to get into space?

You know that would be pretty exciting if they made an Enterprise.(makes hand sign lol) But i believe America send their last spacecraft/rocket the "Discovery" i believe into space. And now Russia is taking over. So lets hope they make something a bit more conventional in the future. But i recon if they can develop a shuttle to take us up into space it will need some work, and will have to be a bit less than the $250,000 they originally wanted for a ride, which i was told didn't even last long.
