Could this be where creationists get the silly idea that man and dino's co-existed?

Just when in the creationist school of "science" did fossils go from being "the devil put them there to tempt our disbelief" to being just "hard bones from animals that recently lived with man." I mean was it because of new peer-reviewed research in the Journal of Magnificent Pseudoscience or something?
