Going to a concert for 16+ years old but...?

I'm only 14 years old. My friend is going also, but she is 14 too. The website said 16+ and doors open at 8pm. It's an Emilie Autumn concert at the Gramency Theater. Will they check if we are 16? Are there coat checks? How long is the concert? If you can help, Thanks.
