Bad yeast infection? Need mature/serious answers please...(TMI warning)?

So I've discovered today that I have a bad yeast infection. My discharge is white and thick like curdled milk (yuck, I know). There's no strong scent, but it's obvious that something is wrong down there. I then realized that my husband and I have been using condoms with spermicide in them, and in the past the spermicide has always given me yeast infections. But now my lower abdomen feels really tender and sore....can yeast infections make your abdomen hurt? I've only had 2 in the past but they never caused me any sort of discomfort or pain? Is this normal? Also, since its the weekend and I can't get to my OB/GYN until some time this week, is it bad to let the infection go on its own for a few days? I've never tried the OTC treatments as I've heard they're not very effective. Does any one have experience with them working? I'm a yogurt eater as well.
